WHAT IS POWER HOUR?

Power Hour is a uniquely-designed preschool program for children to enjoy WITH their caregivers.

During each Power Hour session, children will explore core learning concepts in mathematics, literacy, fine motor development, science, and social studies. These learning concepts are experienced through music, crafts, and play.

What gives Power Hour its power? The foundation for each session is the Bible. Children learn that they are dearly loved by Jesus who washed their sins away!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is registration required? Yes, online registration is required for the 8 week program.

Does the 8 week program fill up? Yes, in helping prepare children for school, we keep class size small to achieve the best learning environment for everyone. A waitlist is created when class is full and any openings will be filled from that list.

How do I pay? Once you register for the program, you will receive an email confirmation. In that confirmation email is the link to prepay the $100 program fee.

What happens at Power Hour? We begin class with a Bible Lesson and fun songs on the big rug. After, the teacher will explain the 4 educational stations set up for the day. These stations focus on Literacy, Math, Writing, and a rotating table which includes History or Science. Then we meet back on the rug for storytime and a special visit from Lucas the Lamb. We end class with The Rocking Song which is a peaceful time that allows you to embrace your child(ren) in your arms while listening to The Lord’s Blessing.

What happens at Power for Parenting? Children are watched by their beloved teachers. There will be a snack provided for each child in the beginning, followed with playtime. This is a great opportunity to allow children the independence to grow without their caregiver present and learn how to interact with their peers in a safe environment. The caregiver will head into a separate classroom where Pastor Seager has a class just for adults to help equip and empower them in their new role of parenthood. This is a casual, relaxed learning environment for caregivers and meant to be a time just for you!

Where is Power Hour and Power for Parenting located? Inside Dana’s Studio of Dance. Just park and come on in! As you enter the building, there will be a sign guiding you to the classroom towards the right, down the hall. There are two separate classrooms we utilize for both programs.
